The Drunk is the story of a jobless alcoholic man who, in a twist of fate, bumps into a young emigree from eastern Europe trying to escape a forced-prostitution network with tentacles in Portugal. The sequence of tragic events that will unfold also springs as an opening for our main character's redemption.
